1997 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 600

For sale is a very rare 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL600 with only 62,100 original miles! Designed in 1984, the R129 was based on the shortened floorpan of the Mercedes-Benz W124 and featured many innovative details for the time, for instance the optional electronically controlled damping ADS and a hidden, automatically extending roll-over bar. The R129's gave way to a rear modern multi-link axle. The number of standard features was high, with electric action for the windows, mirrors, seats and hydraulic convertible top. This car has a distinction of being the first passenger vehicle to have seat belts integrated into the seats as opposed to anchoring to the floor, B-pillar, and transmission tunnel. The R129’s were in 1994 re-designated. For example, 500 SL became SL 500. From 1990 until 2002 there were only small design changes, mostly not in the exterior area, so the great look and feel is from the beginning the same. Our car is beautiful inside and out. The V12’s were only produced in small numbers, so they are very rare, and will increase their values now as real classic cars very fast. The SL600 has a clean history without accidents . It comes in one of its most elegant, rare sought after color combinations, black exterior with two tone black / gray leather interior. It is truly a beautiful and super elegant car! The paint looks stunning and is deep rich and shiny. The car is very straight with no dings, dents or damage. Both tops are in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures. The soft top is still the original one. All royal maple wood looks beautiful with no visible cracking at all. The wheels look brand new and the tires are very fresh. The Mercedes has no known mechanical issues at all! Everything works as it should. The A/C blows ice cold and the steering is very tight. The SL600 drives and shifts very smooth like you would expect from a low mileage Mercedes-Benz, that was sold in 1997 for much more then 100,000 USD…... We serviced the car throughout and it needs nothing but a new owner! We replaced all the hydraulic top cylinders, and will give you a 3 year warranty on all the parts.
